Justin Chambers, who plays such a hottie on Grey’s Anatomy, always looks exhausted and disheveled in real life. I honestly cannot think of a single time I’ve seen him in a candid photo where he didn’t look like total crap. He even looks awful in red-carpet photos.
In fact, he checked himself into UCLA’s psych ward for a “sleep disorder” earlier this year.
I know, I know, he has five kids, but he also has a wife, and, for the love of God, he can afford to hire a nanny. I’m by no means encouraging handing off child-rearing responsibilities to a nanny, but this guy can afford a little help around the house. And science has very, very good meds for sleep disorders these days, and, once again, there’s no reason this guy can’t afford a proper diagnosis and treatment.
My diagnosis?
DRUG. PROBLEM.
I mean, we know so little about the guy, and I hate to jump to conclusions (hee … yeah, right) but does anyone have an alternate explanation for how this guy ALWAYS has huge circles under his eyes and looks like he pulled his clothes straight out of the hamper? Even on the red carpet, when he would have had full access to a stylist and makeup artist beforehand? INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW.
I think there was that trip to Palm Springs after the psych ward where he melted down on some poor bar maid, and he was trashed. Please remember to tip your waitress after abusing her or the blogsphere will find out. He just skeeves me out. I have a feeling that we will never hear from most of the Grey’s Anat people when the show is cancelled. I even think the Hiegl has peaked, and her mouth finally killed whatever middle american appeal she had at one time.

um, maybe he is just sort of normal (for a guy) and not some hollywood metrosexual weirdo. could that be it? (note – having a substance abuse problem but not admitting it is normal, too. . .)
Get over it and stop trying to force your “diagnosis”. If he truly had a drug problem something more would’ve been reported in the last few months considering that he has more attention on him since the news broke about his health. The guy has a sleep disorder (which means even if the kids aren’t around and everything is quiet he can’t FALL ASLEEP and STAY ASLEEP), he was honest about it, got help and worked on getting better. He doesn’t look tired or disheveled to me. The facial hair is for his character on Grey’s Anatomy. He’s wearing jeans and a T-shirt to shop for furniture. Is he supposed to wear an Armani suit for that? *eye roll*

i don’t think that pills should be the answer to everything [or anything] when someone’s got a problem.. that about sums up north america; “go for the quick-fix!”
I can personlly say from experience that there are not “very, very good meds” for ALL sleep disorders. And the ones that there are are usually not ment to be used for more than a month (if that), so a responsible doctor would not give it to him for longer than that. It can be VERY hard (if not impossible) to fix a sleep disorder.
Also, some people just have bags under their eyes, it does not necessarily mean that he’s not getting enough sleep. I get them when my allergies act up.

Sad. I work full time and have two small kids. I find myself looking like fatigued sh!t most of the time…gosh and golly I hope nobody assumes *I* have a drug problem.
Cut him a break he has five beautiful kids, he works long hours, and he’s into raising he’s kids with his lovely wife,not to mention without the help of a nanny which most stars do,so i won’t knock him for looking tired sometimes and besides he use to be a successful male model and he was and still is hot as hell.
