I loved how Letterman refered to Bruce Jenner, basically his way of saying he was the only person of all the names mentioned that actually worked and earned something.
I love this site because it doesn’t cater to those two (I stopped visiting A Socialite’s Life because it just became about those two and Kim Kardashian) but Beet posted something mocking them. That I’ll watch.

Dave is GENIUS! Spencer is one of the dregs of humanity and Dave, being brilliant, resorted back to his days of “take no prisoners” mentality when dealing with TOTAL IDIOTS for guests! That punk needs to be sent to Syria. Seriously. He is everything wrong with our “pop culture” as we know it today. He represents pure stupidity, and worse…MEGALOMANIA!! We have enough of that already.
You know what, it has been a damned long time that I’ve been able to say this, but the guy is a genuine HEEL.
I know what the “hill” or whatever is from context, but I don’t watch tee vee. Whatever it is, it must suck. I’m not interested enough in reality tee vee to download a show to watch, so I’ll just look at interesting clips people post every now and then.
A couple of things are obvious from this clip though:
1) The dumb-ass is cheap. If I were heidi-not-as-cool-as-fleiss, I’d be insulted. Being cheap is one part of being a heel.
2) He is borderline functional or stupid. I’m thinking maybe a 75 – 90 IQ. He’s just trying to get attention by being an asshole. He has no other talent. I don’t blame him. This is the second part of heelage.
3) He didn’t lie. He did say that “he wouldn’t show up at a club for less than $100,000.00.” He never said that anyone had PAID that. (Letterman did make me laugh with “I was thinkin’ two free beers”.) Being overly pompous is the 3rd part of heel membership.
I cackled when letterman wondered why he was on the show and then responded to Heidi’s “he’s the man” with “for what?”. Classic.
So he has a triple-score: he’s a stupid, pompous, and cheap lowlife that is assuming airs beyond his station. In effect, he’s a heel.
In heidi’s defense though: she knew letterman was making fun of them. And I don’t blame letterman for wishing Heidi was out there instead of ‘Darrin Stephens’. At least there’d be something to look at.
