Amy’s hair freaks me out. She should wash it and cut it o_o;
I’ve noticed a lot of people judge Amy’s parents for not putting her rehab, but the thing is they cannot legally do anything of the sort. Also, rehab centres won’t touch you if you do not admit you are an addict and want to genuinely get better. So if she refuses to admit she needs help, they could drag into a centre in a straitjacket but they still wouldn’t take her.
Her parents will be the ones crying the loudest when she od’s too. They are as big of enablers than that freak she married. It’s only dumb luck she’s alive at all. If they both said they would never speak to her or see her again, and didn’t, she’d be in rehab that day or the next. They are killing their own child.
I’d bet money that she’d choose crack over her parents if they offered an ultimatum.

And im sick of everyone’s stupid ignorant opinions on Amy’s family and the state of her drug addiction. You have no idea whats going on behind closed doors, all you know about is what you’ve read on these sites or heard on TV, or what they’ve issued publicly.
Theres more to treatment than just rehab, and even rehab is not a miracle cure.
The family are probably clever enough to have realised if they’ve tried to put her in rehab before and it didnt work then trying to force her into going again won’t make her better.

@rubyredrage – I’m almost 100% sure there are some cases in which a family member/friend can have a patient (someone over 18) taken into phychiatric care/rehab/etc. If that was the way Amy’s parents thought would be best, there would be some places that would keep her in for assesment/rehab without Amy actually wanting to.
But, its very hard to get clean if you do not want to. In fact, its pretty much impossible without being literally forced to go cold-turkey, as if you don’t want to get clean you’re unlikely to willingly abide by the centers rules, etc.
i hate those dirty satin ballet shoes she has on, and they look like those slippers you get for christmas from your great aunt.
@Bunny – I have heard of that happening in America, but here in Australia (and this is just from what I’ve seen with family members and friends) you generally can’t do that unless the person has become violent and is arrested. Even then you will get turfed out after 48 hours of “assessment”.
I need to stress here that this is my personal experience within the public system and welcome anyone to correct me. In terms of private clinics, I have never heard of any rehab program that will admit an ADULT who does not want to be there.
God I feel for this girl and hate how so many people find her situation entertaining. It is not entertaining to watch someone slowly kill themselves. I think theres a world of difference between laughing at a celebrity falling down drunk every now and then and laughing at this drug addict who will very likely be dead soon.
