Does Anyone Know the Story Behind the Ugly Korean High School Girls YouTube Video?

I have a very busy RSS reader. One of the things it looks for is the most popular videos on YouTube, so that I can keep up with what the cool kids are watching these days. Nah, usually I ignore the videos, but this one had the following headline:

Korean highschool girls. Very ugly.

And I was like “OMG, what the hell is this?”

So I watched it, and I was just mesmerized. I don’t know which is more fascinating, the Korean girls or the music. But I’m like “Who made this video? And how did it become so popular on YouTube?” It is just like 10 full minutes of photos of unattractive high-school girls in Korea with weird music in the background. Seriously, if you’re gonna watch this video, you’ve gotta do it with sound.

Does anyone know the full story behind this?

  • Lmao! I might not know the story behind it, sorry Beet, but the music is a really bad remix, highly to be fan made, from Final Fantasy: Advent Children, the movie. It’s Sephiroth’s theme called “One-Winged Angel.” If you want, click here to listen to the actual song. And yes, I know, I’m a total geek for anything anime/game based. xD

  • ok, so some of the girls were ugly, even very ugly. But some were just average looking, I don’t think they should have been put on this video. Well, no one should’ve been, but oh well.

  • the youtube account belongs to a 60 year old american, and he has a bunch of other videos about koreans and chinese people torturing the animals before killing them. and cheating at soccer and other stuff. so my guess is this guy has some huge problems with korea? or maybe just an old insane racist?

  • Ah, glad I’m not the only one that thought it was One Winged Angel. Although comparing the two (thanks to YouTube) it doesn’t actually sound the same. It actually sounds like a track from some kind of musical or opera to me. :/

  • totally agree with WOW, some of the girls are just average looking, and also some of them are making funny faces, I bet if you take a picture of yourself crying in excitement or almost sneezing or such you would look uglier than most humans on earth…..

    there were actually some cute girls among them…and also, didn’t you notice? almost all of the girls with glasses wore red framework (not sure that’s the word, but you get it)

    The music you hear is the original music from the actual awesome game the shitty movie came from, damn can’t believe that……………
