Amy Winehouse was booked today after an investigation into husband Blake-Civil Fielder’s actions that led to his incarceration under a perversion of justice charge, implicated Amy as well.
I don’t understand what any of that means.
“Her husband has been charged with grievous bodily harm against a pub landlord. He was then further charged with perverting the course of justice. It had been speculated that police might have an interest in any allegation about his wife’s potential involvement,” says some journalist guy.
Can the smart people out there please explain in (American) English what the fuck is going on?
From what I can understand… Blake beat some guy up (pub land lord) and nearly killed him. He asked the guy to not press charges and gave him $200,000. Illegal.
How would Blake get 200K… His lady Amy.
I think this is why they are in trouble, for trying to pay people off so they didnt get in trouble. Woops!

Barman James King was allegedly offered £200,000 to change his story, after Blake and his friend Michael Brown were charged with grievous bodily harm following a brawl which severely injured King.
Last month, police searched Amy’s north London home and recovered mobile phone records, bank details and computer software.
Last week, the offices of Amy’s accountant were reportedly searched so officers could review all her transactions.
The source added: “As soon as the figure of £200,000 emerged, the finger of suspicion started to point in her direction. How could Blake, who is not wealthy, be expected to come up with that kind of money? Police want to see where Amy’s money goes to. They will account for every penny.â€
If found guilty of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice Amy could face life in prison.

Blake basically implicated Amy in his legal problems and now she’s saddled with it. What a sh!theel. I’m pretty disappointed in him, too.

She walked into a police station, voluntarily. Hardly what I would call ‘ARRESTED!!!’. Amy Winehouse of all people does not need the media to make things even more sensational than the reality.
Her husband couldn’t have come up with that bribe $$ on his own, so the police actually thought for a minute and considered his wife as a likely source of funds. They asked her to come in for questioning and now she’s out. Probably snorted it all, anyway.
Sarah – life in prison, for conspiracy? Really? And I thought the US had some crazy sentencing guidelines.
