Taylor Momsen Went to Homecoming Dance

Talk about not letting the fame go to your head.

14-year-old Taylor Momsen, who stars as Jenny Humphrey on Gossip Girl, recently attended her high school’s homecoming dance, even though she is not currently attending classes there.

She wore a black lace tunic (“way too short for a dress,” says a witness) and spent most of the night “huddled” with a gaggle of friends.

Tragically, the writer’s strike has shut down production on Gossip Girl, so it’s a good thing Momsen’s not being a snotty brat to these kids — she may be back in school with them soon enough.

  • I just watched it on the cw website and it’s good. I don’t know how but it’s really good! I have no idea how this little girl is only 14 though. Frightening.

  • Im 15.I just turned it less then 3 weeks ago.A few months back when I saw she was going to be playing on Gossip Girl I had to look it up on imdb.When I saw she was YOUNGER than me I almost freaked.I look at least 4 years younger than she is and im almost 6 months older than she.She is way mature for her age, becuase i dont think i’ve seen a 14 year old that looks quite as old as she.

  • Listen, all of you! I know Taylor, we go to PPAS, our High School. We together in class, and I would talk to her. She’s nice, and just a little bit of a snob. All her closer friends think she is sweet too. She dresses weird though. Like, she walked in with this flowery skirt with this god awful top. And just so you guys know, compaired with the other actors and actresses in my school she’s really bad. However, I still watch Gossip Girl…

    Opinion; might be skank, or might not be, but appearance doesn’t necessarily dictate whether she is or not. Looks mature, but probably doesn’t have the corresponding mature personality to go with it – she is only a child.

    She doesn’t look 14 at all. I have a 14 year old sister, and if she ever dressed like that, I’d hunt her down and murder her. Literally.

  • Hey, people say I look older, too, and i’m only 15, but I’m about to turn 16 in a few days. I think it’s just the makeup, and she’s freakishly tall. When I was just a freshman, people thought I was a junior or senior. Maybe I’m just one of those very few people that thinks she looks normal for her age. >.<

  • I think she looks beautiful. Yes, she may look older than she is, but she doesn’t look like a slag. There’s alot worse worn at our school prom. She’s a fantastic actress and I think that should be remembered. She’s worked to get to where she is today.

    And seriously, if you go to a gig or a party there will be other 15 year old girls (because she is 15, not 14) who wear an awful lot less than Taylor and look older still.
