In the market for a sports car? Think you might want one with the pedigree of starring in a much beloved film?
Yes, it’s the legendary replica of the Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder used in the 1986 John Hughes film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
In the film, Bueller convinces his best buddy, Cameron, to “borrow” his dad’s Ferrari to squire them and Ferris’ GF Sloan around town on their much ballyhoo’d afternoon ditching school. It does not end well.
The car, a 1985 Modena GT Spyder California that was built to emulate a Ferrari, was one of three cars built for the film. It will cross the auction block on Saturday at the Barrett-Jackson collector car auction at WestWorld in Scottsdale.
No word on auction date, but really, we’re you buying it?
