After a few months of speculation, Kanye West has confirmed that not one, but two new new albums are on the way. A seven-track solo release is out on June 1, he tweeted, followed one week later (June 8) by a collaboration with Kid Cudi. “It’s called Kids See Ghost. That’s the name of our group,” he tweeted. Kanye West filed a trademark application for “Kids See Ghost” back in November, for coverage of everything from merch to streaming services to films and TV shows.
West most recently released The Life of Pablo in 2016. Last week, he returned to Twitter after an 11-month absence. He’s said that those tweets comprise a new philosophy book that he’s writing. “I will work on this ‘book’ when I feel it,” he said.
Kanye has also announced Pusha T and Teyana Taylor will also be releasing albums in the upcoming months. Pusha’s new album arrives May 25, according to a tweet, while Taylor’s full-length will be released June 22. Find those tweets below. Pusha’s last album Darkest Before Dawn was released in 2016. Teyana Taylor has only released one studio album, 2014’s VII.
