Jessica Alba spends most of her personal and professional life in some state of undress, and good for her – she’s a beautiful woman and looks great. Smoke ’em if you got ’em, and all that. She does some movies here and there, as well, but if you asked most people what they think of when they think of Jessica Alba, I guarantee you her looks are going to be mentioned first, in some sense.
In a new interview with Maxim (via US Weekly), Jessica says that yeah, she might be hot, but she is more than just her appearance and she worked damn hard to become the woman she is today.
“If you put your whole identity behind this business, it’s brutal,” she told the mag. “It chews you up and spits you out; it spits out a lot of people.”
Alba reflected on how her journey in Hollywood was “so personal,” adding that she didn’t want to discuss it in detail. “But I definitely feel like I tackled something and came out the other side,” Cash Warren’s wife explained. “Everything that led up to all this was worth it. I’m really comfortable in my own skin, and I’m not apologizing for myself.”
Well, good for her? I wouldn’t apologize for being beautiful, either. Has anyone seriously ever asked her to, anyway? I don’t really get the context of that mini-rant (the entire interview hasn’t been published yet), but clearly she’s having some serious feelings about Hollywood.
I generally find Jessica Alba to be pretty innocuous. She doesn’t have much talent and you could take her or leave her from the business, but she’s not doing anyone any harm, so it’s whatever.
I have always kinda liked her. She seems to be ok with the fact that people hire her because she’s smoking hot, takes the money, and laughs her way to the bank.
I admire her. She seems to be doing very well with her company honest.com.
