Lindsay Lohan smolders in this month’s issue of Vanity Fair Italia, but the accompanying interview raised eyebrows—specifically, the part of the article where Lohan walked out holding a “pink fur jacket” and, also, a gun.
In the interview, Lohan allegedly then explained: “I’ve got a permit to carry a firearm, but it’s not loaded. I keep it in the house in case someone tries to get in.”
I kind of love the Norma Desmond angle Vanity Fair Italia has contrived—I like to picture Lohan stamping around in a fluorescent fur stole, waving a handgun and going, “It’s the pictures that got small!”—but, like my own happy Lohan daydream, it’s all made up.
Steve Honig, Lohan’s publicist, says the quote is fabricated: “Lindsay has never, ever owned any type of firearm in her life. I have no idea why someone would say that.”
Update! You’d probably like to see scans from the Vanity Fair Italia photo spread itself. Photographer Alan Gelati’s interview might be bogus, but his photos? Perfection.
