34-year-old Ryan Dunn of Jackass fame was killed late last night on a rural route in Pennsylvania.

Sources state that Dunn’s car lost control, flipped over a guardrail, struck a tree and burst into flames. Dunn and an unidentified passenger were both killed. Ryan had celebrated his recent birthday on June 11th.

As you can see from the photos in the gallery, Dunn’s Porsche was turned into a charred shell of twisted metal and not much else. TMZ states that photos are circulating of Dunn and friends drinking and partying just hours before the crash, but no word if alcohol was a factor in the accident.

  • regardless of what he did in his life and whether he was being stupid drinking and driving show respect his life was lost… im sure his family and friends dont want to have to deal with negative comments and the media’s biased perspective.     • Did he have respect when he got behind the wheel drunk and took that other person’s life in his hands and ultimately killed the passenger? He could have killed other people. He could have killed a family, he could have killed someone YOU knew or loved. It’s not a biased perpective. He paid for his mistake and so did the other person who entered the car with him intoxicated. Luckily no INNOCENT people were killed by him. Sad, yes, but when will people learn?????

        the passanger had gotten in the car. if he knew his friend.. was that intoxicated. maybe he himself shouldnt have been in that car.

        he may have made a different decision.

  • Why the hell are people so angry? Two people lost their life. People are mourning their sons, brothers, friends. We can point out flaws, but it doesn’t make it any less tragic. Obviously, he was a success, because he was laughing all the way to the bank! Perfect example of do what you love and the money will follow. He and his shows were not for conventional people. Although, I often wondered how he could push limits before he pushed too far. No one was forced to watch his films/shows, we all did it by our own free will. However, it is an example of the consequences of drinking and driving and of why we need to have limits….Dunn’s last Jackass move. RIP

  • It is sad, he was funny and my heart goes out to his family, I only hope Alcohol wasnt a factor, but if it was it coulda been alot worse he is out drunk in that fast car and regular people coulda also lost their life, R-I-P and my heart goes out again to everyone affected by this tragic accident..

    • Mitch, you would be startled to know how many loved ones of mine who have died due to stupidity/selfishness. Ryan wasn’t “taken” from anyone. He made a concious choice to either drive recklessly or remain in the car if his friend was driving recklessly. Notice, I haven’t mentioned alcohol….. I don’t know wether it was a factor in this crash or not. Had he been hit by a drunk or someone driving recklessly I would have just said RIP. I do feel for his family/friends who have to pick up the pieces, but I still believe he was selfish & needed to grow up. As far as your assertation I’m not making it in life…. I”m 47, married w/2 kids, self-employed, certainly not rich but comfortable considering I only work about 8 months a year. My life gives me the opportunity to coach youth baseball/rugby, to ski and play oldman rugby and soccer & to vacation with my family anytime I choose. It’s pretty bitchin’!! Peace! Still wish I had him in my dead pool!

  • My heart and prayers go out to Ryan’s family and also the friend that was killed with him, may they both rest in peace. No one knows just yet whether or not drinking was a factor, lets wait until the toxicology results are in before everyone starts punishing this guy that is no longer with us. Also, if alcohol was a factor, lets not totally bash him for that because I am sure half of the people commenting on this at one point in their life has been drinking and got behind the wheel at some point, could have been anyone of us to make that mistake, and besides who lets their friends drive off drunk anyway.   • This is sad..a man and friend lost their life and the negative comments are very hurtful to their family and friends. Some of you have judged them and don’t even know them or the facts . If you knew the families of the victims would you still show the lack of respect that your giving now. Ask yourself if you would stop loving your brother, sister, child ect everytime they made a mistake . Shame on the disrespectful and prayers for the families and friends that are left behind.

  • Chaz I once was a fan that grew out of their antics yet you have to admit they have at least one or two that make you loss yourself through laughter. Yet, you are entitled to your own opinion. Even with that entitlement, your old enough to understand the dead should still be respected especially considering he was driving a friend who was coming home from defending our country. The beginning episodes of jackass used to annoy me but I grew to like them (I REALLY liked Bam lol) but I always thought Ryan would have been fun to hang out with. Like the fun followed him. Anyhow, another young person taken too soon,but fate will find you when its time.

    • He was arrested a couple of years ago in my township for crashing his BMW DRUNK (Wet Whiteland Township Pennsylvania)….seems he has no respect for the break he was givin with ARD……Who the f@ck goes out after being arrested once before from a DUI crash (notice I do not call it an accident) and drinks until 2+am and then drives 130mph+ on the way home on public surface streets?…..if you hit a pebble at that speed ITS OVER! I drove past the seen last night…..it is about a 2 1/2 mile stretch of complete straight away….woods on both sides….Did he never hear of deer in the area?…or branches?….or small animals crossing the road…or pot holes….or cracks in the pavement or any kind of debris?…..He did a dumb f@cking thing and he paid for it…unfortunately so did his passenger. My mother, wife, and all of my loved ones drive that road and some at that time of night as West Chester Hospital is located near there and that is where some of them work. This is tragic only for his family, friends and loved ones……not for him!!!!!!!!!!

I’m not necessarily a fan of Ryan dunns but it always sucks when a young person dies and especially knowing a fellow survivor of the war in Iraq comes home do die so soon in this fashion.

  • Rip ..I’m sitting here on five months house arrest and four months of jail time because of drunk driving its sad to see someone I grew up with go .I feel for his close chums and family and his passengers but my pitty party is over I’m alive and they are dead ..sad for anyone but a real eye opener for me and my friends .
