There’s a piece on People.com right now disclosing some of Lady Gaga’s beauty routines and yo: Homegirl’s got the hygiene of a rude teenage girl. While People seems to find the fact that Lady Gaga falls asleep with a face full of make up on every night refreshingly average, I’m mad concerned. I barely leave my apartment and it’s important to me that I wash my face every night. It’s not even for vanity purposes. I do it because walking around with dirt and grime on your face is nasty.
She also admitted that she needs to get a special chemical haircut (what the fuck is that?) because her overly-processed hair is practically falling out and that her feet are throbbing ever since she started wearing all of those mangled looking shoes. Oh, and she doesn’t believe in false eyelashes or mascara. She thinks it’s “more modern” to just wear eyeliner. Modern? No, it’s laziness. It’s so she doesn’t feel obligated to wash her face before she goes to bed.
Two things I could get down with? She brushes her teeth before bed every night (thank God) and doesn’t like to expose her face to the sun too much because it’s the quickest way to age yourself. Maybe she’s not totally unhealthy and gross.
This rant is fucking stupid. Get over yourself. Nothing irritates me more than “Ewwwww! That’s so groossss!”

I think she was being a bit facetious when she mentioned the “chemical haircut”. Anyone who does as much to their hair as Gaga does knows that sometimes you can just go too far and there’s nothing to do but cut off the damaged ends and start over.
As to her not washing her face – I really don’t see the big deal. If she isn’t having any issues with her skin, then who cares? People need to stop being so freaking germophobic.

All I’m saying is that I’m happy Lady Gaga will probably die when I have kids, I just think she’s a strong/negative influencer. I mean, I understand she’s trying to point out something, but doesn’t mean that she should act in a particular way. Sometimes she just goes overboard, I get it you know. Be yourself, but also respect the environment around you. People judge, you can’t stop that and people get influenced, definitely not positively by watching some of her vids, and the way she dresses herself. I did agree with you (even though I must admit I sometimes go to bed with my eye liner on, although I don’t put any foundation on or anything) until I got to the fake eyelashes bit. Fake eyelashes are some stupid thing that has been invented to get even more money off women. They are not necessary. I, for one, find Molls’ humor delightfully sassy. Is she making a big deal about someone not washing their face? Yes. However, that someone is a huge celebrity and we’re not used to having better beauty regimes than most celebrities. Additionally, it’s a slow news day. The editors have to find what they can and make it interesting for us so that we keep coming back. I’m sure a less criticizing post regarding Lady Gaga wouldn’t have elicited such a response from us.
