The patrons saints of everything shelled out the $1M to the U.N. to help survivors of the violence in Pakistan. Over 2 million Pakistanis have been driven from their homes this year by fighting between government troops and Taliban militants in the northwest of the country.
Angelina was also present at the World Refugee Day ceremonies in DC today. She spoke at the event, getting choked up herself. She said of the refugees: “Most of all they are survivors … They are the most impressive people I have ever met.”
Missing from the ceremonies was Hillary Clinton, who fractured her elbow when she fell on her way to the White House, and scheduled host Anderson Cooper, who apparently couldn’t get a flight out. Ann Curry filled in.
She is the real deal, and I love her.
That’s awesome of them.
But am I alone in recognizing how skeletal she looks in this pic?

I grew up in Springfield, Missouri, so coming from Brad Pitt’s hometown has desensitized me to him. However, he and his family have donated 1 million dollars to St. John’s hospital in Springfield, and a lot of that money will be going to a pediatrics wing. My mom used to work/teach nursing for the hospital, and as a critical Level 1 trauma facility for the area (which services parts of Oklahoma, Kansas, and Arkansas as well as Missouri), the donation is much needed. As sick of hearing about Brangelina as I am, they do good things with their money.

So there’s 2 million Pakistani refugees, and they’re giving them a million dollars. So they all get fifty cents from Ange and Brad. Um.. sweet.
It’s a big amount of money if converted to their currency. Duh.
Plus, I don’t think they’re giving cash directly to the refugees. It’s probably going to buy food, shelter and medicine.
I appreciate the effort, however, it is likely most of it will be siphoned off by warlords just like all the money we throw at the African countries. The refugees rarely see the benefit. Sad but too often true.
Its nice of them to give 1 million of the 14 million they got for pimping out the twins to the highest bidder, and then using that money as a tax deduction..so how much of that million actually came out of thier pockets????Im not at all impressed with these two media freaks!
